Skates Are Like Sexy Underwear

Wise words from Iva Vendetta: "When you're in Roller Derby, a part of your personality comes out that may not fit in your regular life." I wonder what part of me that will be. What will come out--a feminine kitty cat, a masculine bulldog, or a lame duck? Sometimes I feel like all those things and they all feel wrong in my regular life at some point or another. I like the thought of a mild-mannered alter-ego: grad student by day, killer vixen by night.
For now, I am really loving my quads, I have my fanciful dreams and my school work to keep me busy.
Something about those Cobra, derby-regulation skates boosts my confidence. Its like wearing sexy underwear.
